About the Fisher Institute for Access to Education and Second Chances
Fisher Institute for Access to Education and Second Chances is an independent institute dedicated to advancing equitable access to education and expanding opportunities for learners across diverse social and economic contexts.
The Institute seeks to reimagine international education by promoting models that prioritize inclusion, mobility, and second chances, ensuring that talent is not limited by structural inequalities.
Inspired by the words of John Arbuthnot Fisher:
“We fight God when our social system dooms the brilliant, clever child of a poor man to the same level as his father.”
Our mission is to break the barriers of privilege and contribute to the development of educational pathways that enable individuals to reach their full potential, regardless of background.
The Institute is currently in its development phase, with a long-term vision of supporting initiatives, partnerships, and pilot programs that foster leadership, creativity, and cross-cultural collaboration in education
